Project Overview
Westernport Plumbing has started work on a new dwelling in Wattlebank, on the outskirts of Wonthaggi, installing the pre slab drainage for one of our local builders.
Why Pre Slab Drainage Matters
Pre slab drainage is the plumbing that goes in before the concrete is poured. Every sewer and stormwater point has to be set out to match the plan, laid to the correct falls and left standing in exactly the right position, because once the slab is down there is no going back without cutting concrete. It is the stage of a new build where accuracy counts most and where mistakes are the most expensive to fix.
Builders come back to us for this work because we get it right the first time and we turn up when we say we will, which matters when the pour is booked and the rest of the program depends on it.
Our Approach
Points were set out to the approved plan and checked against the slab set out before anything was fixed. Drainage was laid to grade, inspected and left ready for the pour. We carry out our own excavation work, so trenching and drainage happen as one continuous sequence rather than waiting on another trade between stages.
All work completed to AS/NZS 3500 by a fully licensed plumber, Lic No. 43406.
